There’s something so special about the entrance to a home. It’s the first thing you see, the first impression you make, and—when styled with intention—it becomes a warm invitation to slow down, step inside, and exhale.

This season, I refreshed our exterior entry with a few simple touches that reflect the shift into spring. Nothing overdone—just thoughtful layers that say, "You’re home."

Here's what I added:

  • Planters filled with herbs and greenery – Not only do they bring fresh life to the porch, but there’s something so grounding about brushing past rosemary or mint on your way inside.

  • A natural jute rug – Easy, earthy texture underfoot that adds a laid-back charm and helps anchor the space.

  • A soft spring wreath – Light and breezy with seasonal tones, it creates a soft focal point and adds a personal touch to the door.

None of these changes are groundbreaking—but that’s the beauty of it. It’s often the little things that make the biggest difference.

Whether you're styling a grand front porch or a small apartment stoop, adding a few natural elements and layered textures can create a feeling of welcome that’s effortless and full of heart.

Finishing Touch Tip:

Choose one moment—like a planter, a rug, or a wreath—and refresh it with the season in mind. Start small, and let your entry evolve as you do.

Wishing you a beautiful, breezy spring,

Christie
